The YMCA of Greater New York Association Office is seeking a Finance Intern who, under the direction of the Senior Accounting Manager, will assist in the preparation of financial reports and budgets, and work with finance staff to analyze selected accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Assistant Controllers and Finance staff with preparation and/or analysis of various reports related to the 2025 budget development.

  • Assist the Assistant Controllers and Finance staff with preparation and/or analysis of various lease and other accounting schedules.

  • Work directly with Assistant Controllers and Finance staff on special projects as needed.

  • Work with key staff across the finance team and Association Office to gather information and prepare schedules in excel.


Desired Skills & Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required. Currently enrolled and pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or Economics.

  • At least one (1) year of completed college credits.

  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.

  • Experience with Oracle a plus.

  • Participation in business-related organizations or activities such as Accounting Society, Phi Beta Lambda, etc., is a plus.
