Y ScholarsA year-round high school and college success program providing essential skills and training to students in NYC public schools. Y Scholars, launched in January 2009, offers academic enrichment, tutoring, mentoring and coaching, and career, leadership and life-skills programming to young people continuously from 6th grade through college graduation. Y Scholars helps students and their families take ownership of the high school experience to grasp college — in many cases for the first time — as a real and attainable option. Each year, Y Scholars will introduce a new class of 6th graders, leading them on a seven-year path to college, until more than 1,000 teens are “college ready”. Learn more. |
