Our annual campaign ensures that no one is turned away for inability to pay.
We're building new YMCAs to serve even more of NYC's kids and families.
Our Heritage Society and endowment help the YMCA serve NYC today and for generations to come.

Support Your YMCA

The YMCA of Greater New York is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) community service organization which promotes positive values through programs that build spirit, mind and body, welcoming all people, with a focus on youth.

Since 1852, our YMCA has been committed to being an asset to our community. Our programs and services focus on five core areas:

  1. Supporting Youth & Teen Development
  2. Improving Individual Lives
  3. Supporting Families
  4. Welcoming New Americans
  5. Community Engagement & Volunteerism

The YMCA engages in fundraising through the annual Strong Kids Campaign, special events at the branch and Association levels, grants, bequests, or individual, corporate or foundation support.

Thanks to this support, we are able to offer the broadest possible access to YMCA programs, services, and facilities, and to provide for those individuals and community groups who may not be able to afford the full cost of our programs, services and facilities.
