Day Camp at Vanderbilt YMCA

YMCA CAMP. WHERE KIDS GO TO GROW.
We offer a variety day camp programs for youth. Programs are offered at the Vanderbilt Y, located at 224 E. 47th Street, New York. We also use offsite facilities such as local parks and the Julia Richman Complex.
All campers must pre-register to attend camp by completing camp forms and paying a deposit for each week of camp.

TRADITIONAL CAMP

EXPLORERS A CAMP (Ages 5-6) This fun, innovative camp is ideal for children experiencing day camp for the first time. Children participate in arts & crafts, nutrition, fitness, sports, games, swimming, camp songs, and trips.

EXPLORERS B CAMP (Ages 7-8) This camp encourage campers to explore while their imaginations run wild. Campers will experience days filled with a combination of activities, including: arts and crafts, performing arts, sports, and instructional swimming.

SPORTS CAMPS
Campers will learn the fundamentals and rules for each of the sports while practicing their techniques in mini games. In addition, they will learn about team work,sportsmanship, and motivating each other to succeed.

TEEN CAMP

TWEEN CAMP (Ages 13-14) Tween Camp emphasizes decision-making, so that youths are encouraged to choose their activities, including swimming, sports, reading, trips and games and leadership activities.

TEEN CAMP (Ages 15-16) Teen Camp helps teens develop social skills and leadership ability while having loads of fun. Swimming, sports, reading, trips and games are all offered as well as leadership development activities that teach youth how to make a positive impact in their neighborhood.

SWIM CAMP

SWIM A CAMP (AGES 5-8) This camp is a great introduction to the water. Campers will swim for 2.5 hours each day, four days a week as well as participate in traditional camp activities. Children will be divided into three levels and will learn basic swimming strokes and play water games.

SWIM B CAMP (AGES 9-12) This camp is designed for the advanced swimmer. Campers will swim for 2.5 hours each day, four days a week as well as participate in traditional camp activities.They will engage in instructional swimming and learn key skills including: personal safety, survival, rescue skills, and water sports.
