Day Camp at Ridgewood YMCA

YMCA CAMP. WHERE KIDS GO TO GROW.
We offer a variety day camp programs for youth. Programs are offered at the Ridgewood Y, located at 69-02 64th Street, Ridgewood.
All campers must pre-register to attend camp by completing camp forms and paying a deposit for each week of camp.

TRADITIONAL CAMP
-
KINDERCAMP Kindercamp offers an array of activities that enhance intellectual, emotional, and social development. Campers participate in arts and crafts, food and fun, story time, dance, music, sports, and assorted projects that build expression, creativity, and interactive play. 3-day, 5-day, full and half day options available.

EXPRESS CAMP (Ages 5, 6, 7/8) Campers participate in swimming, arts and crafts, sports, and weekly excursions to museums, playgrounds, cultural events, sports arenas, and community events. Our recreational reading component helps kids sharpen their reading skills throughout the summer months. Campers develop long-lasting friendships and social skills by learning about and utilizing our four core values: caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.

ARTS CAMP

CREATIVE CAMP (Ages 8-11) Children will develop their artistic ability through song, acting, sculpture, painting, and much more. Trips and cultural activities are geared to weekly theme-based projects:

SPORTS CAMP

ADVENTURE SPORTS CAMPS (Ages 9-13) Campers will learn the rules and fundamentals of different sports, while practicing their techniques in mini games. In addition, they will learn about team work, sportsmanship, and motivating each other to succeed. Campers will also participate in swimming, trips, arts and crafts, and recreational reading.

TEEN CAMP

MOVIN' ON CAMP (Ages 11-14) Movin’ On Camp helps pre-teens and teens develop social skills and leadership ability while having loads of fun. Teens are encouraged to choose their activities, including swimming, sports, reading, trips and group games. Leadership development activities teach youth to make a positive impact in their neighborhood.

COUNSELOR-IN-TRAINING (Ages 15-16) This camp is for tomorrow’s leaders. Teens who are involved in this amazing program gain job readiness skills and work experience during the summer working alongside experienced staff. CITs receive training in program safety and also participate in community service projects.
