Camp Huguenot Day Camp
For children ages 5-13 (K-8)
CIT Program, ages 14-15*
July 2 - August 26
One week sessions
Camp Huguenot is a traditional day camp program with one overriding objective--FUN! Grouped by gender and age, campers hike, swim, make crafts, explore nature, do archery, engage in low- and high-ropes activities and play games and sports of all sorts all in a beautiful outdoor setting. Camp Huguenot kids come home the same way every day--tired, dirty and happy!
Beyond the beautiful setting and fun-filled days, camp also provides a wonderful opportunity for kids to unplug, explore, and make new friends. Small groups and low staff-to-camper ratios allow children to develop close bonds and to feel a true sense of belonging. Our staff, carefully chosen for their maturity and ability to be excellent role models, work hard to teach and reward the YMCA core values of honesty, respect, responsibility, and caring.
A typical day at camp includes a wide range of small and large group activities, a healthy mix of active and creative play, and endless opportunities to learn and try new things. To keep kids energized, every day includes a healthy and delicious lunch and afternoon snack. A full-time nurse oversees any special medical issues, and our on-site inclusion specialist provides additional support to ensure that children of all abilities are successful in our traditional camp setting.
* If your child still loves day camp, but has become too old for our day camp program, please encourage them to apply to be a Counselor-in-Training.
