YMCA Outdoor Adventures are designed with the belief that wilderness and adventure tripping provides campers with the opportunity to grow in spirit, mind and body.

From the time that campers arrive:
  • Campers are immersed in the planning and operations of the trip. 
  • Each trip has a specific focus and challenges campers daily with new and exciting activities. 
  • Our Weekend Camp allows campers to extend their stay for multiple sessions with in-camp relaxing activities. All meals, supervision and laundry are provided.

Each trip is led by a YMCA staff member with a certification in Wilderness First Aid.  Each trip is also supervised by a YMCA lifeguard.  Safety is the primary focus of staff members, while they also ensure that each camper has a unique and fun experience.

Vertical Ventures: June 28 - July 3 - $838
Designed for the monkey in all of us

  • 2 days of in camp training
    • Learn belay techniques
    • Knot tying
    • Climbing skills
  • 3 days of climbing in the Adirondacks
    • Attend the EMS Climbing School

Calf Island: July 5 - 10 - $738
A modern day Gilligan's Island adventure

  • Travel to Calf Island, located in the Long Island Sound
  • Private island camping
  • Study tide pools, swim in the bay and explore the island
  • Learn survival and camping skills
  • Campers are tested for their ability to swim

East Coast Adventure: July 12 - 24 - $1368

White Water Adventure: July 26 - August 2 - $988

High Peaks Trip: August 8 - 21 - $938
