On Monday, October 5, 2015,  more than 500 community business leaders, philanthropists, and YMCA supporters gathered for our15th annual Arts and Letters Reception at the TimesCenter. This year's Outstanding Leadership Award recipients were Kris Magel, Chief Investment Officer at Initiative and Gail Grimmett, Senior Vice President at New York Delta Air Lines, Inc. They were honored for their dedication to Y After School programming and ongoing support for the Y and New York City children. Comedian and author Jim Gaffigan was also honored, receiving the Artistic Achievement Award. Vanderbilt Y teen Karyl McFarquhar opened the show singing her rendtiion of "Read All About It." Arielle Jacobs and Emily Ferranti ended the night with a beautiful version of "For Good," from Broadway's musical hit "WICKED."CNBC reporter Mary Thompson emceed the event which raised more than $570,000 towards the Y After School programs. Special thanks to everyone who helped make this year's reception such a success.
