How to Register for Day Camp at the Y!

Each branch of the YMCA of Greater New York has a different array of summer day camps. Browse our Day Camp guides, or click on each branches day camp web pages.
Find the camp that’s right for your child
Download the camp application forms for the branch of the Y that you’ve chosen your child to attend.
Visit your local Y to hold your child’s spot by submitting payment for your child’s first session with additional deposits of $100 for each added session. You should also hand in a completed application form. **Please note all Swim Camp session payments must be paid in full at time of registration.
Take advantage of the 10% Early Bird discount by paying off your entire balance by May 18.
Submit your child’s medical form completed with parent information and signature as well as the doctor’s information, signature and stamp by June 15. It’s a good idea to keep extra copies of the medical form for your records. Campers will not be admitted into camp without a current medical form on file.
In addition, hand in 2 passport size photos of your child along with the application/ and or medical form.

The YMCA accepts all major credit cards or you may sign up for automatic billing to ensure payments are made on time with no late fees incurred.

Financial Assistance

The YMCA of Greater New York will give Financial Assistance to campers based on family annual income. The applications must be submitted by May 1, 2013. Download and print your Financial Assistance application, complete and return it to the branch you have chosen for Summer Camp services. You may register before your scholarship determination has been made to secure camp slots. To do so, you will need to make payment/deposits as listed on your YMCA branch website or in their camp brochure.

Government & Union Vouchers

The YMCA accepts ACD, HRA, TWU Local 100, and 1199 SEIU vouchers. You must have your confirmation letter with you at the time of registration.

Refunds and Credits

If your child cannot attend camp for a period of time paid, you may submit a request for credit along with documentation to the Camp Director. Credits can be used for camp or other programs throughout the year. Any refund requests will be submitted to the Camp Director and will be granted under the discretion of the Senior Program Director. All requests should be made prior to the start of the session.
