Taste of Ridgewood brings neighborhood influencers together over delicious local eats

Ridgewood's major contributors and vendors came together for a night of fundraising and celebration — the fourth annual Taste of Ridgewood. Donors and philanthropists of the neighborhood rallied to raise money for the YMCA’s annual campaign, which supports scholarships to allow every person, regardless of financial ability, to access YMCA programming. Immigration resource fair at Flushing YMCA on July 25

The Flushing YMCA will host an immigration resource fair on Saturday, July 25, with state Senator Toby Ann Stavisky, Assemblyman Ron Kim, and City Councilman Peter Koo. Lawyers and other professionals experienced in the immigration process will be at the event, which will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the YMCA at 138-46 Northern Blvd. Only the first 130 attendees will be served because space is limited, anyone interested in attending should call 646-664-9400 to reserve a spot. Taste of Ridgewood pleases all palates

The YMCA of Ridgewood held its annual Taste of Ridgewood event last Thursday at the Catalpa Avenue site. The cuisine of more than 20 restaurants was featured and awards were given to several individuals, including State Sen. Joe Addabbo Jr. (D-Howard Beach), District 24 Schools Superintendent Madeline Chan, Greater Ridgewood Historical Society President Linda Monte and innovators Denise Plowman and Crystal River Williams.
