Stop & Shop celebrated a grand opening with a ribbon-cutting on Friday in Port Richmond. At today's Stop & Shop opening, store manager Jack Hiltwein and Jim Keenoy, director of marketing and external communications (New York metro area), presented a $2,000 check to the Staten Island YMCA Broadway Branch, as a way for Stop & Shop to contribute to the local community. Staten Island YMCA is celebrating Healthy Kids Day with free community events, featuring activities such as Tae Kwon Do, basketball, swimming, arts & crafts, nutrition information and much more, to motivate and teach families how to develop a healthy routine at home. Spring break fun for Staten Island kids: Street games, trampolines, art camp

School's out for the week of April 6 and after a long, cold winter, the kids will be itching to get moving and out of the house.
