You can meet many of tomorrow's leaders today at the YMCA Leaders Club, a leadership incubation program that gives teens the opportunity to learn to become more effective in their interactions with others. Teens improve their individual leadership and social skills while also experiencing new ways to give back and grow as human beings. Teens meet on a weekly basis in small groups to develop and implement projects aimed at providing valuable service to their local community.
Junior Leaders Club is one of the Y's most intensive and comprehensive teen programs, providing middle school youth in 6th to 8th grades with opportunities for leadership training, service learning experiences, college and career exploration. The Jr. Leaders Club program will train teens in all aspects of leadership and effective group work with the goal to create a team of young people that will better serve their community and Y as they encourage each other to make a positive impact for present and future generations.
To get involved in the programs listed below, please contact your local branch and ask for the teen director.
