Project Mission: To facilitate the infusion of Asset principles and practices in NYC schools and communities.

The NYC Asset Lab Project (ALP) is a YMCA-led community initiative that promotes a culture of positive change in how adults interact with youth. Interested schools and service agencies with a commitment to implement an Asset-based change strategy can receive vital technical assistance and training from ALP. The Project seeks to work long term with dynamic participants who also want to help expand the reach of Assets throughout NYC, community by community.

Guiding Belief:
Communities rich in Developmental Assets such as Positive Support, Clear Boundaries, Structured Activities, Values and Commitment to Learning – are essential for all young people to grow up healthy, responsible, and caring.
